Background:
HealthQuest is a network of hospitals in the Hudson Valley area.
Task:
Create a an engaging social experience that brings the community together and promotes a healthy lifestyle.
Insight:
Hospitals say they want to keep the community healthy but very few actually walk the walk until community members become patients.
Approach:
Get people up off the couch and outside to be active by logging their physical activity (walking, running, biking etc...) by using a custom social platform. Encourage people to post 'Healthy Selfies' to their social media pages using the hashtag #GetFitHV. Have local businesses, gyms, and parks around the Hudson Valley area join in and became designated Get Fit Hudson Valley check-in locations, and depending on how many entries were logged, enter participants in the running to win healthy prizes to motivate them to continue their health journey after the competition came to a close.
